Viterra office designed in the spirit of zero waste
office

Viterra, a leading player in the grains, oilseeds, and vegetable oils market, needed a new headquarters that would reflect the company’s strong connection to nature and its environmental responsibility. The client also emphasized the importance of properly arranging teams with different work dynamics. We therefore designed an office that not only meets the highest standards of comfort and ergonomics but also references the natural world and Viterra’s industry through its character, color palette, and materials.
The foundation of our concept was ecology and reuse. The interior is dominated by warm shades of gold, yellow, and green – evoking aerial views of agricultural fields—complemented by accents of cobalt and deep green. The space features elements made from recycled materials, such as openwork panels crafted from repurposed PET bottles, known for their excellent acoustic properties. Positioned on ceilings and walls, they ensure sound comfort while introducing a light, organic aesthetic. The furniture also fits into the philosophy of reuse—ergonomic desks were adapted from other locations, fully aligned with the zero-waste approach.
We ensured a clear and thoughtful functional layout, dividing the space into focused work zones and dynamic collaboration areas. Importantly, workstations naturally intertwine with meeting and relaxation areas, separated by semi-transparent partitions with geometric patterns. This helped us achieve several goals: defining the interior’s overall design, creating a sense of intimacy and comfort in each zone, and limiting noise transfer between the lively open space and the quieter work areas.
The heart of the office is the reception area. Its ceiling is adorned with geometric acoustic panels that reduce noise while adding visual interest. Sepia-toned and cork wall finishes create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We placed colorful, sunlit lounge chairs, poufs, and seats here to encourage relaxation and offer a view of the Tricity Landscape Park.
Adjacent to the reception, we designed phone booths and conference rooms – all finished with acoustic cladding and wooden slats on the ceilings. The meeting rooms feature rich, nature-inspired colors chosen to stimulate creativity.
Employees can use two enclosed kitchen areas, each clearly separated from the dining zones through different finishing materials. The kitchens feature wood-colored vinyl flooring, while the dining areas have geometric-patterned tiles. A similar distinction is visible on the ceilings, further highlighting the functions of each space. Contrasting accents throughout maintain consistency with the overall office design.
The Viterra office includes a 180-square-meter terrace located on the 15th floor of Oliva Prime. While still awaiting full development, plans are underway to create chill-out zones, loungers, and greenery—providing employees with a place to relax during the workday.
