Bank Pekao S.A.
bank branch

We had the opportunity to design a new branch for Poland’s largest bank – Bank Pekao S.A. The concept was developed on the basis of the newly created brand standards manual authored by the Schwitzke-Górski studio. The overarching idea drew on subtle references to the Polish landscape, including the use of local design traditions reinterpreted in a contemporary and understated way.
The project was built around a clearly defined, nature-inspired colour palette. Whites, beiges, greys, and greenery create a sense of calm and trust. The bank’s signature bold red appears only in carefully selected elements within the space; throughout the project, it is used in a muted, delicate, almost powdery tone.
We were responsible for both the multidisciplinary technical design and the full implementation.
Materials reflecting the concept developed by Schwitzke-Górski – drawing inspiration from the natural world – were carefully selected, including acoustic ceilings made of wood wool and woven vinyl flooring with an organic character. A distinctive decorative feature is the set of handcrafted gypsum panels with reliefs depicting wheat ears and wildflowers.
Bespoke furniture made of light natural plywood, combined with soft seating, introduces a warm, homelike atmosphere for clients visiting the branch. To ensure privacy, the rooms were equipped with semi-transparent curtains and acoustic lighting fixtures. The entire interior is complemented by natural greenery. The bank’s wooden logo has been highlighted on a decorative wall made of natural moss.
